Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
To be human...
what a wonderful thing. =) To know the God who is love, to have a heart that can beat for Him! Let it sing and drum away, always and only for my King!
oh of course there are moments of weakness... I'm a little human being!
So how does one survive?
- Be still and know that He is God. the stillness of loneliness can be used to quiet the soul for Him, to come before Him, get to know Him.
- Remember He is with you. "I am with you always, to the very end of the age." He said this just before He left for heaven! The last words of a person bear weight. How reassuring then, that He who ministers to the hearts of men, spends this in a promise of faithfulness to us! Not orders, battleplans, hidden ammunition, nor secret weapons, but a promise that we'll have Him. All of Him. I'd be tickled pink to find myself lacking--could I ever! He is enough. =)
- Give thanks. He has a purpose for all things, and whatever you face, is a lesson in drawing closer to Him. What joy... He's teaching you! =) Imagine you sitting on the sidewalk and teaching a baby ant to cross peak-hour Orchard road... (ok, maybe if it were an ant-sized extension of you, you might feel more for it.) I find it amazing to know how much my big God cares. =)
- Refuse self-pity. Completely and absolutely. Why should we believe anything else other than who or what Christ says we are in Him? Because of pride? Hmm? And what is it worth? Does He not hold your destiny? Are your life and death not in His loving hands? Is there any other opinion that should count?
- Serve one another. There will always be someone who needs you. There is no good reason to deny Him the opportunity to use you to minister to another, if He says He will lead you in doing so. Trust and obey, walk in faith, in this you'll know just how close He is to you, His joy is your reward and strength! =)
Hard times are also the moments of His greatest glory in our lives, when He shines through to perfect His strength in our weakness, His joy in our despair. Oh my brothers and sisters, let Him! We must not stop living for Him, with Him.
to all who laboured at GCTC for matric today, I am touched and encouraged. My prayers shall be with you through matric as we plough the fields for a good yield. =)
