Lately
Hey all,
been some time since I've updated this blog, but it's honestly been a pretty hectic february!!
The few things I wanna give thanks for:
1) Stayover with Simone and Mei--It was just good to sit around and catch up, pray together, listen to the two of them banter... reminded me of Khon Kaen dec 2004 again. I love you two so much! I think if I could I would hug u both till all the breath was squeezed out of ya. =) Simone came over to sleep later at about 2am, cos I had a spare mattress, it was just nice to watch her sleep so soundly and well. =) And if I love them both so much, can you imagine how much more God must love them? I bet He can't wait to just hug each one "good morning" and delight in all the things His child is up to, simply because we are His children.
2) A very busy first week of feb: I had a presentation and an interview due, and was sleeping an average of 3 hours a night. Thank God the presentation was well received, and many of my classmates actually came up to mel and I to say they enjoyed it very much. Thank God for mel for heh staying up with me and going full steam too!! I still feel a tad bad for working us both so hard... she got sick on presentation day with a sore throat and I kind of blame myself... but yeah mel, this is my thanks to you for being an everlasting project buddy. I think Pakir liked our work too, so it was worth it huh? =)
3) Jarett's birthday: Haha!! We'd agreed to celebrate on monday, with this year being Jarett's year (cos previously he'd say after celebrating mine first there was no kick for his), so i got the opportunity to suprise him! I brought cake and his favourite macdonald's breakfast down to his place at 7am, where I scrambled for about 5 minutes to find the key his brother had left out for me. Went into his room to wake him with happy birthday, cake and candle. Sent him off to school, then after class took him to munchie monkey's for lunch at 4... wah he ordered so much food!! 2 sets of pasta (incl my fav crayfish one!), one salad, one fried sotong, 2 milkshakes, one soup. Officer's prayer meeting followed after lunch, and Mr Ng got us all a cake. haha mr ng didn't know it was my bday too!
4) I want to thank God for how He's led me through each step of the MINDEF interviews. The interview went all right. They asked me about my views on terrorism and heh Daryl, I told them about your conspiracy theory about Bush using it to drop troops all over the world and defended it, ending with a very positive note on how coming against terrorism must eventually succeed--heh, so u see bro, just conversing was not such a stupid and nonsensical thing to do after all.
