QT
Today's qt was on Exodus 40. Most of QT was about choosing to finish what we start (even if our natural inclination is to be an idea-giver more than a see-ti-through-er).
However what caught my eye was the result of that faithfulness. When all was finished as God had instructed, His presence dwelt amongst them. It must have been a sight to behold, the cloud above the tent of meeting. The holy God of all things was tangibly dwelling amongst His people. What power must have accompanied that nation! What joy must have filled their hearts--that the God who said He would not go with them to the promised land when they sinned, actually came to live with them, because of one man's faithfulness.
Lord the growing gets tough, choosing to have faith, and being faithful is hard, but its true that because you live when I die, one feels more joyfully alive every day. Thank you for You Jesus. Thank you for the adventures (and what's adventure without the peril?). Thank you for the victory we have in you (the happy ending we always know stories have). And Oh Lord, so much more than happiness shall be our reward. Make me more like You Lord. =) I can't wait!
