It is 2.34am and I’ve just got home from 2 days worth of cleaning our new home. Today has been extremely hectic, full of to-and-fros from boarding school, starting with church at 8, jarett packing at 10, going out to buy bedsheets, cleaning materials, etc at 1, going to boarding to drop off his tons of books, clothing, stuff we bought etc at 2, went out again to see TVs at 3, went to ikea at 4 (bin, rugs, laundry, hamper, cd rack), went elsewhere to buy LCD tv at 6.30, dinner + ironing board + boiler hunt at 7.45, collect TV at 9, finally reaching boarding hall at 9.30. At 9.30 we unpacked n wiped every book, cd, hung up clothing, shelved games, vacuumed beds, changed sheets, put in washed sofa covers, tried to set up hamper, set up TV, mopped floor twice (yesterday I’d mopped it 5 times over), washed kitchen floor and kitchen toilet, unpacked and organized everything for future use. 11.45pm, Made tea for NY and watched the countdown when Jarett’s family came over and had tea etc w us. We just finished cleaning and unpacking everything in time for the first strike of 2007.
I thank God once again for my aunt and uncle’s salvation! They looked happy and comfortable in Covenant today.
We thank God once again for the abundance He has showered on us, so that we should know no lack (esp through our parents who have been saving pots, pans, plates, utensils, buckets, brooms, mops etc for us). We now have a very comfortable home!
Looking ahead to a new year with God! For Him to teach me lessons that take me deeper still. =)
